Day 1

Depart Australia to Athens

Day 2

Arrive in Athens and transfer to your accommodation by private coach.

Today you will take a part in a guided coach tour of Athens that will include highlights such as the Acropolis and the Parthenon.

Overnight in Athens

Day 3

Today you will tour with an archaeological guide and visit the ancient Agora and the museum. The ancient Agora is one of the best known examples in Greece. Students of classics and ancient history can explore an open-air museum displaying the buildings and structures that made up this important Athenian place of assembly.

In the afternoon you will visit the New Acropolis Museum. The Acropolis Museum is an archaeological museum focused on the findings of the archaeological site of the Acropolis of Athens.

Once you’ve ticked the Acropolis off your list, it’s time to discover the real Athens. Experience the city like a local and dig deep into the city’s cool culture and beloved traditions.

Overnight in Athens

Day 4

Today after breakfast you will join a Full Day Cruise to 3 beautiful islands Hydra, Poros and Aegina. Visit three gorgeous Greek Islands in one day on an island-hopping cruise from Athens.

Hydra with its old traditional beautiful stone houses and mansions silently witness a long and turbulent story. The small narrow stone paved streets await you to explore them. Captivating walks along the old seaside promenade crystal clear waters, radiant fine craft shops and the beauty of Hydra will conquer you! Our stay in Hydra is about 2 hours.

Poros, separated from the Peloponnese by a narrow strait this beautiful green island will mesmerise you with its groves of pine and lemon trees and relaxing walk through quiet narrow streets for a rewarding panoramic view from the town’s clock tower.

Aegina, the largest of the Saronic Islands, has enjoyed a very dynamic past and a rich and vibrant present articulated beautifully through its wonderful Pistachio Groves as well as colourful floating fruit, vegetable & fish markets.Visit to the Church of Saint Nectarios which is a beautiful example of classic Byzantine architecture housing the Saint’s silver carved tomb as well as relics for his everyday life.The second tour visits the wonderfully preserved 5th century B.C. temple of Afaia which sits majestically upon a forested hill and offers a magnificent view of the Argosaronic Gulf.

Day 5

This morning transfer to Delphi by coach.

Delphi lies between two towering rocks of Mt. Parnassus, known as the Phaidriades (Shining) Rocks, in the Regional unit of Phocis in Central Greece. Here lies the Pan-Hellenic sanctuary of Apollo, the Olympian god of light, knowledge and harmony. The area was inhabited in the 2nd millennium BC, as is evident from Mycenaean remains (1500-1100 BC)

On arrival, you will visit Delphi Archaeological Site and Delphi Archaeological Museum. Visit the iconic archaeological sites of Delphi– a unique artistic roman achievement. Situated in a magnificent natural setting which is still intact, it is an outstanding example of a great Pan-Hellenic sanctuary.

Day 6

After breakfast board your coach and continue your trip to Nafplio. On arrival take a guided tour with an archaeological guide and visit Tolon, Epidavros and Mycenae Site. The ancient ruins of Epidavros pay testament to the Greek’s commitment to the gods of healing as well as providing fantastic examples of Classic architecture. The Sanctuary of Asklepios, the Tholos and the theatre are remarkable works and provide visiting school groups with a real treat.

You will also visit the Ancient Corinth. Corinth was a powerful ancient Greek city-state. It was located on the coast and was ruled by a king.

Tonight you will enjoy a Traditional Greek Night dinner.

Overnight in Nafplio

Day 7

Continue with your trip to Sparta. You will meet with your local guide and take a Tour of Ancient Sparta. You will visit Sanctuary of Athena Halkioitou, Sanctuary of Artemis Orthia and Byzantine Church of Christ the Saviour. Sparta a city state founded from the Dorian’s in the 11C BC well known for its citizen soldiers, strict military training, and powerful army with excellent skills. The most famous battle of the many in their history is the battle of Thermopylae. In 480 BC, a huge Persian army was trying to invade Greece. Barring the way at the mountain pass of Thermopylae were 300 Spartan soldiers led by King Leonidas, along with a few hundred of Arcadians and Thespians.

Day 8
