Day 1

Arrive in New York. Today you will enjoy New York TV & Movie Tour. On this guided sightseeing bus tour you will see over 60 New York City locations featured in your favourite TV shows and movies.

Experience the thrill of seeing movie locations first-hand and get behind the scene information from your tour guides.

Sit back and relax as your tour guide leads you through the most filmed city in the world, all from the comfort of a bus. They will take you on a tour of the city’s most recognisable locations sharing with you some of the TV and film industry’s best-kept secrets.

Optional – After seeing the locations, produce, shoot, and edit a mini-movie in your educational and interactive workshop! Students will also receive a video of their completed film!

Day 2

 In the morning the students will take part in their 1st Broadway Workshop.

Choose one of the existing workshops or we can help you customise one for your group. Our teaching artists (actors, musicians, designers, technicians) have a wide range of professional experience and are excited to craft their workshops around a particular show or technical need.

Example workshop – Broadway 101 – This is the perfect introduction to Broadway, basic theatre, and creativity skills for students recently introduced to Broadway and theatre in general. Explore Broadway’s historical significance as well as the training process of a Broadway actor. The group starts with physical and vocal warm-ups, followed by interactive focus/listening exercises and theatre games.

After lunch the students will participate in their 2nd Broadway Workshop

Example workshop: Audition Workshop – Monologues, cold readings, and the presentation of entering a room are some of the elements touched upon in this master class for actors. Broadway/Film professionals conduct this workshop in a nurturing environment

Day 3

After breakfast head for your 3rd Broadway Workshop.

Example workshop – Making a Scene – Professional actors or teaching artists will advise your group on acting choices, vocal techniques and character development designed to encourage bold and creative acting choices. Working on a scene, the focus in this workshop is on interpreting and bringing text to life in truthful, imaginative and specific ways.

In the afternoon you will visit Metropolitan Museum of Art and participate in a workshop. This special program pairs a 60-minute guided visit in the galleries with a 45-minute art-making experience in the Uris Centre for Education’s Art Studio. After exploring and discussing different sculptures in the galleries, students take over the Art Studio to create their own unique sculptures to take home. Creative challenges encourage material exploration, creative thinking and problem-solving.

In the evening visit the Top of The Rock for unforgettable views of the New York City skyline. The City views from the Top of the Rock Observatory are breath-taking and unparalleled, even from the Empire State Building.

Overnight in New York

Day 4

This morning after breakfast head to Battery park and board the ferry. Get up close and personal with Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty, two of New York City legendary landmarks. Take in the amazing views of southern Manhattan while crossing New York Harbor. Explore the Statue of Liberty’s onsite museum, Relive America’s immigrant experience through personal narratives and images in the Ellis Island Immigration Museum.

In the afternoon you will enjoy a guided tour of Lower Manhattan. You will visit Trinity Church, Wall Street, 9/11 Memorial museum, Chinatown, Little Italy, Brooklyn Bridge and learn about New York City history.

In the evening experience the greatest spectacles Broadway has to offer and see your 1st Broadway Show.

Day 5

Today you will participate in your 4th Broadway Workshop.

Example workshop – Up Close and Personal – In this intimate one hour session, students will have the opportunity to sit down and talk to a Broadway performer that they will later see onstage in a Broadway show. This will include personal success stories, career moments and insight into life as a performer. This workshop includes a private performance from the artist just for the group.

In the afternoon head to Central Parkand enjoy some free time. Central Park is the most visited urban park in the United States and one of NYC’s most popular tourist attractions.

Tonight after dinner you will see you your 2nd Broadway Show.

Overnight in New York

Day 6

After breakfast board your coach for your transfer to the airport and take your flight to Los Angeles.

On arrival you will take the Behind The Scenes Tour. Visits all the famous landmarks in Hollywood and learn the Hollywood history associated with the world famous landmarks you are familiar with.

The Kodak Theatre – Experience all of the renowned elegance and celebrity glamour that the Home of the Academy Awards has to offer! Students will see an Oscar statuette and find where celebrities sat during this year’s ceremony.

Later in the day you will check into your hotel and enjoy some free time.

Day 7

This morning head to Stella Adler Studio of Acting. The studio is an acting school that was founded by actress Stella Adler. The school is an acting studio offering extensive training for actors in theatre, film, and television. Adler’s long history with Hollywood meant she had close ties and strong connections in the Los Angeles area. She taught for many years at various locations in Los Angeles.

Today you will take a part in Conservatory Acting Classes and Mask Master Class. Behind the mask you are free to create exciting and surprising, larger-than-life personalities. Because the mask hides the self, students are able to explore deep into untapped creative potential. Focusing on spontaneous expression, play and transformation, this class will engage students in a series of performance exercises and games that explore the concerts of organic development of character and physical theatre.

Overnight in Los Angeles

Day 8

After breakfast prepare for afull day of action-packed entertainment all in one place at Universal Studios Hollywood. Participate in one hour Studio Tour.Take a ride which uses tram vehicles to take you from the Theme Park’s Upper Lot to the back-lot where actual filming of many shows and movies take place such as King Kong, Jurassic Park, War of the Worlds, Fast & Furious and many more.

The rest of the day you are free to explore Universal Studio.

Overnight in Los Angeles

Day 9

This morning board your coach and head to Santa Monica. On arrival stroll the Santa Monica Pier, Third Street Promenade and Venice Beach Boardwalk. Venice Beach is one of the most famous tourist attractions in the U.S. It is known for its bohemian spirit, buzzing beach town with upscale commercial and residential pockets. Venice Boardwalk is the site of funky shops, street performers and colourful murals.

Tonight you will be transfer to airport for your evening flight back home.
