From the moment you arrive, your senses will be overwhelmed with the bright colours of women dressed in saris and the sound of hundreds of conversations in many different languages. Travel down winding roads to one of the rural communities and spend your days volunteering on building projects and getting to know the locals through meaningful service, daily chores and traditional customs.

The projects are determined closer to your actual tour date
Arrive in Delhi and meet your Tour Director at the airport. You will be transferred to your accommodation by a private coach. After you arrive at your accommodations, settle in and meet your Tour Director for the country orientation and safety overview.
Overnight in Delhi
After breakfast you will explore Delhi on foot with your expert local guide. In Old Delhi, walk through the symbolic heart of the city once filled with mansions, mosques and gardens. Then head to New Delhi, the official capital where historic sites abound. You will experience the best of Delhi with great street food, markets, bazaars, temples, and famous historical sites.
Stop and sample a samosa from a street stall, wander through narrow alleyways, and see the sights, smells, and people of Delhi.
Pay a visit to local temples dedicated to the various Hindu gods, and gain insight into the religion of Hinduism, at one of the more spiritual moments on our Delhi tour.
Overnight in Delhi
Today after breakfast you will head to Agra, home to one of the seven wonders of the world. Once you arrive in Agra, your first stop will be Agra Fort, a walled city that’s also a UNESCO World Heritage site. It was built by Emperor Akbar during the 1500s, and the architecture is a blend of both Hindu and Muslim design. You will also learn the history behind the emperors of the Mughal dynasty, with lots of stories from your passionate local guide.
After your lunch, you will visit the famous, glorious Taj Mahal. Built by Shah Jahan for his beloved wife, the Taj Mahal is a world-renowned symbol of love. Your guide will take you around the Taj and share the stories of love and legends behind the great effort it took to build this legendary monument.
Overnight in Agra
Day 4 – 10
Today after breakfast travel to Udaipur to start your community service. Since projects are determined closer to your actual tour date, here is a glimpse at what a typical day might look like:
Working side-by-side with locals, you’ll help address challenges that focus on areas of improvement in education, health, clean water and sanitation, alternative income and agriculture. These projects include building and restoring local schools, planting trees and community garden work.
Spread throughout the day, you’ll participate in activities that celebrate local culture like language lessons, yoga instruction, guided tours of Udaipur, Bollywood dancing lessons and more.
Each evening, you’ll reflect, discuss events as a group, and draw connections between the day’s work and relevant global issues.
