Colossal Himalayan peaks, authentic mountain culture and a meaningful community service project, a truly transformational experience in Nepal. Your adventure begins in the fascinating capital city of Kathmandu and then to Pokhara where the group begins a trek into the Annapurna foothills. Around every corner you’ll be struck with dramatic views of Himalayan peaks, and there will be plenty of opportunities to engage with the people of the small Hindu villages you will pass through.

You’ll get your hands dirty in a small village in the Annapurna region where you will work side by side with the locals to improve the local school. This will be a real highlight where you will be fully immersed in village life.

Day 1

Arrive in Kathmandu – 1330m

Welcome to Nepal! After your arrival and clearing customs you will be met by your Nepalese guide and transferred to your hotel in the city. This afternoon your crew will provide you with full trip briefing where you can ask any questions and prepare your gear for the upcoming project and trek.

Day 2

Kathmandu Sightseeing

 This morning enjoy a sightseeing tour of this exciting city. This is a great opportunity to introduce yourself to Nepalese culture and history. You will get to meet some Nepali people at the main meeting place, Durbar Square as well as taking in the Bodhinath Stupa at the Pashupatinath Hindu Temple.

In the afternoon you will have time to explore Kathmandu. Head to the busy and exciting streets of Thamel and the markets. Kathmandu has more World Heritage sites than any other city in the world.

Day 3

Fly to Pokhara

This morning take a flight west to Pokhara, Nepal’s second largest town (820m). On arrival transfer to your eco-campsite where we will stay tonight. You will be welcomed with sights of the immense Annapurna Range.

This afternoon go for a walk down to the lake and catch a row boat across the lake to a sacred temple. Afterwards walk up to the peace pagoda vantage point and enjoy the spectacular view across the whole of the stunning Annapurna Range.

Day 4

Trek to Dhampus – 1650m (approx. 3 hours)

Early in the morning head to Khara and begin your trekking .The trail makes its way uphill through terraced fields and mixed oak and rhododendron forest. This is a short day with enough time to reach the camp. You will trek through scarce villages, farm terraces and cover a short stretch of forest to reach Dhampus (1650m).

You will be greeted by stunning views of Annapurna once you reach the campsite. Dhampus is not only a great view point but also a small, ethnic Gurung village. There is an opportunity to watch the daily lives of the villages from milking the buffaloes to their daily work on the farm. From the camp, you will enjoy an amazing sunset on the Himalayas and weather permitting an equallystunning sunrise.

Day 5

Trek to Landruk – 1600m (approx. 5 hours)

Mornings generally offer the best opportunity to view the huge peaks. Continue your trekking and admire the peaks of the Annapurnas visible through the scattered rhododendron forest.

After your longer uphill trekking, this afternoon it will be a more gradual. You will descend towards the Mardi Khola, trek through dense forest of rhododendron, oak and birch until you reach the terraced fields of Landruk. You will have time to explore the village and visit the nearby waterfall

Day 6

Trek to Ghandruk – 1953m (approx. 6 hours)

Have an early breakfast and get ready for another day of trekking. After leaving the village, the trail levels down to the picturesque village of Landruk.  Here the views of the fishtail mountain, Machapuchare, Annapurna South (7273m) and Hiunchuli are magnificent as they dominate the skyline.

After lunch, you will make a steady descent to the Modi River from where you will take the many, many steps up to the village of Ghandruk. On arrival explore this ancient village and get an insight into the lifestyle of villagers who have traditionally provided the backbone of the famous Gurkha regiments, a local medical centre or even a museum, to understand more about this amazing part of the world.

Day 7

Trek to Jhobrank (approx. 5 hours)

Today you will begin the last considerable walk and reward yourself with stunning mountain views. You will get back on the main trails and walk through small Nepali villages on single track trails.

On arrival in Jhobrank you will visit the project site and meet the local labour force who will help you for the coming days. The local villages’ heads and students will be waiting to greet you and work side by side on the project with you.

Day 8 – 9

Commence Community Project

Over the course of the next two days you will work with the local crew and village community and help renovate a school in need. More specific details of the project work will be available prior to departure.

Day 10

Trek to Naya Pul – 1000m (approx. 5 hours)

After absorbing even more spectacular views of Annapurna South you will head down the Modi Khola valley along a secluded village trail.

After lunch at the scenic village of Dansing you will complete a short, steep descent to the village of Birethanti along the Modi Khola. You will cross a substantial bridge before making your way to Naya Pul where your bus will be waiting to take you to your private camp in Pokhara.

Day 11

Pokhara Day at Leisure

Today enjoy free time at leisure and explore this beautiful village town. There is the option to join a spectacular zipline adventure this afternoon.

Fly to Kathmandu

After breakfast board your coach and transfer to the airport for your flight to Kathmandu. On arrival transfer to your hotel.

The remainder of the day is at leisure to do last minute shopping.

Day 13

This morning after breakfast your adventure in Nepal comes to an end.  Board your coach and transfer to the airport for your flight back home.
