Day 1

Arrive Melbourne (D)

Upon arrival at Melbourne Airport, meet your driver for coach transfer to your accommodation.

Check-in at the hotel and start your adventure with a walking tour of Melbourne. Walk along Yarra riverfront and see some of Melbourne’s iconic architecture. Visit Flinders Street Train Station, Federation Square and the Australian Centre of the Moving Image, located at Federation Square. ACMI is Australia’s coolest cultural destination that has everything from a century of film to the latest computer games and digital art of future.

Afterwards, proceed to the Royal Botanical Gardens and Shrine of Remembrance. The Shrine of Remembrance is a war memorial to all Australians who have served in any war.

Next stop is National Gallery of Victoria, Australia’s oldest art museum, and the Art Centre, Australia’s largest arts venue.

Return to your accommodation.

Day 2

Melbourne (B,D)

Breakfast at your accommodation.

Start the day with a visit of the Old Melbourne Gaol, former jail and current museum, where you will learn about a prisoner’s journey from their admission at the bathhouse through the trials of daily life for a prisoner, their deprivations and the punishment system and the context of the Gaol in Melbourne’s history. Examine how the very design of the buildings was intended to act to reform prisoners and how incarceration is the last link in the chain of legal processes.

Afterwards, visit MCG. MCG is the largest stadium in the Southern Hemisphere and one of the most famous sporting venues in Australia. Explore the inner sanctum of the MCG, walk on the hallowed arena and experience where legends play by taking a guided 75 minute MCG tour. You will visit the famous MCC Long Room, MCC Library, MCG Tapestry, player change rooms, Ron Casey Media Centre, Cricket Victoria Bill Lawry Centre, Ponsford Stand and City Terrace.

Next adventure is Scienceworks visit.

Scienceworks is a popular science and technology museum that features modern interactive exhibitions, the Melbourne Planetarium and the Lightning Room.

Finish your day with spectacular views of Melbourne, 285 metres above ground at Eureka Tower Skydeck.  Take a look at some of Melbourne’s

favourite attractions and landmarks – Albert Park Lake, Port Phillip Bay, the Dandenong Ranges and beyond.

Day 3

Breakfast at your accommodation.

This morning take an interactive ocean adventure filled with amazing discoveries at Sea Life Melbourne Aquarium, and experience all of the exhibits in the aquarium during your 2 hour tour.

After this unique experience, you will be transferred to the Melbourne Zoo, for another real-world learning experience exploring wildlife from Australia and around the world.  Choose one of many programs specifically designed  for students, from “Caring for Animals” to STEM for Sustainability program.

Late afternoon, visit the famous Queen Victoria Market and discover a wide variety of fresh, quality produce and specialty shopping.  You can taste some of the freshest produce, discover unique ingredients, and discover the Market’s

history.

Day 4

Depart Melbourne  (B)

Breakfast and check-out from your accommodation.

Free  time for last minute souvenir shopping , before your private coach transfer to Melbourne airport for your flight back home.

OPTIONAL :

Add an extra day on your Melbourne tour and visit Sovereign Hill , an open-air museum in Golden Point, a suburb of Ballarat. Sovereign Hill is one of Victoria’s most popular attractions and Ballarat’s most famous. Set in the Australian 1850s, the complex is located on a 25-hectare site that is linked to the richest alluvial gold rush in the world. The site comprises over 60 historically recreated buildings, with costumed staff and volunteers, who are able to answer questions and will pose for photos.
