Day 1

Depart Australia.

Day 2

Arrive in London. On arrival board your private coach and transfer to your hotel. After enjoying a stroll through the London’s streets. You’ll see everything from 12th-century fortifications to modern skyscrapers, royal parks to street art. Walk along the Thames River. Cross Trafalgar Square. See bustling Piccadilly Circus. Pass trendy shops and cafés in Bohemian Soho on your way to Covent Garden, a 13th-century fruit and vegetable garden transformed into a maze of narrow streets and pedestrian walkways burgeoning with street performers, open-air markets and boutiques.

Day 3

This morning after breakfast enjoy a behind the scenes tour of the Royal Albert Hall. Go behind the curtain of this much-loved building and see parts of the Hall usually off limits to the public. This includes taking you under the stage, into one of Hall’s dressing rooms where all the stars have prepared to perform, and also into the loading bay deep underground.

You will also visit the Handel and Hendrix Museum. Step into a world of culture, history and music with a guided tour of Handel & Hendrix in London. Travel back in time in the music rooms where Handel composed, rehearsed and performed along with fellow musical luminaries of the Baroque age. Become immersed in 23 Brook Street, the flat where Jimi lived, loved and wrote songs at the height of his fame in 1969. Taking special place in the iconic guitarist’s heart, it was here that Jimi called home.

Day 4

This morning you will visit the Royal College of Music. You will also see the museum which holds over 25,000 items, including the earliest known guitar, the earliest stringed keyboard instrument and the most recognised portraits of Joseph Haydn and Farinelli.

In the afternoon, ride the London Eye and afterward enjoy a stroll along Thames river.

Tonight, we attend a West End Musical.

Day 5

In the morning you will explore Trafalgar Square admire its wonderful fountains and architecture. You will also have some time to visit the National Gallery, with over 2,300 paintings from altarpieces to the Impressionists, there’s something for everyone at the National Gallery.

At lunch time you can hear the students from Royal College of Music perform at the St Martins In The Field.

In the afternoon you will take a part in a guided tour of the Royal Opera House. Visit the Backstage and Front of House areas of one of the world’s leading theatres as it prepares to open its doors for the evening performance. Afterwards you will participate in a workshop.

Day 6

This morning after breakfast board your private coach and travel to the university town of Oxford. Oxford evolves around its prestigious university, established in the 12th century. The architecture of its 38 colleges in the city’s medieval centre led poet Matthew Arnold to nickname it the ‘City of Dreaming Spires’

Visit Christ Church College for a guided tour. Get a greater insight into the College’s history, its architecture, student life, scenes associated with the world of Alice in Wonderland and Harry Potter. Tonight, you will attend evensong in Christ Church College.

Day 7

After breakfast enjoy a guided walking tour of Oxford. Go into the oldest colleges including New College, founded in 1379, and seen in the Harry Potter films and television productions of Inspector Morse and Lewis.

Then, participate in a workshop at the Oxford Faculty of Music.

Later in the afternoon relax on an Oxford river cruise. Cruise along the Thames down the university regatta course, pass ancient folly bridge, Christ Church College and meadows, and university rowing houses. This is one of the busiest and most colourful stretches of the Thames.

Day 8

After breakfast board your private coach and continue to Stratford-upon-Avon, a historic town where William Shakespeare was born and which now is home to a bustling theatre scene.

After exploring the charming town of Stratford-upon-Avon continue your trip to Llangollen.

Day 9

Llangollen Eisteddfod (July only). Llangollen’s International Music Eisteddfod attracts 120,000 visitors and transforms the town into a vibrant international stage. Six days of the best music and folk dance, and the whole world in one place. Every summer since 1947 Llangollen has staged one of the world’s most inspirational cultural festivals. Listen to performances by leading choirs or vocal and instrumental soloists, or watch the amazing choreography of dancers from around the world dressed in national costume with unusual accompanying instruments.

Today you will perform in the festival.

Day 10

This morning you will have another performance at the festival.

In the afternoon, enjoy a ride on a canal narrow boat which takes you through the Vale of Llangollen and across Britain’s largest aqueduct at Trevor. The Llangollen Canal is considered the most beautiful waterway in the country

Day 11

After breakfast transfer to Holyhead for a ferry ride across to Dublin. Take a guided sightseeing tour of Dublin. Explore the main features of Irish history, Dublin’s development, the influence of the American and French Revolutions and the Potato Famine 1845 to 1849.

And afterwards you’ll check into your hotel.

You’ll enjoy a dinner and show featuring traditional Irish folk music and dance.

Day 12

Today you’ll take a tour of Trinity College, the historic institution of higher education in central Dublin. You’ll tour the campus, learn about the academic programs and observe a lecture as well as have the opportunity to meet with students. You’ll visit the historic library at Trinity College that houses the Book of Kells. The pages of this 1st century gospel text are displayed with backlighting to see the intricate designs, colours, Celtic and Christian symbolism.

This afternoon you will participate in a workshop followed by an evening performance.

Day 13

This morning you will participate in a workshop at the Royal Irish Academy of Music.  The Royal Irish Academy of Music is a home of musical excellence and dynamism, a place of teaching and learning which consistently achieves its objective of transmitting and maintaining the highest standards of performance and appreciation in all musical disciplines. Founded in 1848 the Academy is Ireland’s oldest musical institution.

In the afternoon you will attend a performance at the Christ Church Cathedral. There will be an opportunity for you to climb the belfry, ring the bells and hear the Cathedral Girls’ Choir sing evensong.

Tonight, you will enjoy a concert of Irish music.

Day 14

After breakfast board your private coach and enjoy the beautiful Irish countryside as you travel to Waterford for a lunch break.

Continue on coach to Cork. On arrival, explore the city centre and visit Blarney Castle. The castle originally dates from before AD 1200. It was destroyed in 1446, but subsequently rebuilt by Cormac MacCarthy, the King of Munster. It is currently a partial ruin with some accessible rooms and the battlements. There are many legends as to the origin of the stone, but some say that it was the Lia Fáil—a magical stone upon which Irish kings were crowned.

Day 15

Board your private coach and visit the Limerick School of Music. Limerick School of Music is centre of excellence and an accessible resource to all in the community. Through their teaching, they encourage and develop a love of music and drama in a caring and stimulating way.
